Pair French terracotta “Lions Sejant-Rampant” c.1850. Originally architectural elements, each lion sits holding a shield, on an integral rectangular base. With wonderful colour and patina. A “lion sejant – rampant” is seated on its haunches, but with its body erect and both forepaws raised in the “rampant” position.
